RadarEats LLC ("RadarEats," "we," "us") operates the RadarEats mobile app and radareats.com (together, the "Service"), which helps people find food trucks, restaurants, breweries, and local food events near them, and helps food businesses ("vendors") get discovered. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
This policy applies to customers who use the Service to find food, and to vendors who create a business listing.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials (handled by Firebase Authentication), and whether your account is a customer or vendor account.
Vendor business information. If you create a vendor account, we collect the information you choose to post about your business: business name, business type, address, phone number, website, hours, cuisine and price range, daily specials, and any photos you upload (gallery and menu photos).
Location information. See "Location information" below for the specifics of how and when we collect this.
Payment information (vendors only). Vendor subscriptions ($30/month) are billed through Stripe, our payment processor. We do not collect or store your full card number — Stripe collects and stores payment details directly, under its own security standards. We retain a reference to your subscription status so the app knows your account is active.
Favorites and follows. We store the vendors you mark as favorites or follow, so we can show them to you and send you notifications about them.
Notification data. If you enable push notifications, we store a device notification token so we can deliver alerts about vendors you follow, and updates from nearby vendors — flash deals, live music, new menu items — whose attributes match the filters you've saved, even if you don't follow them.
Technical information. Like most apps, we may receive standard technical information from your device (such as device type and app version) through our infrastructure providers for the purpose of keeping the Service running and diagnosing problems.
We do not sell your personal information.
RadarEats uses location differently depending on your role in the app:
As a customer, we use your device's location (or an address you enter) to show you nearby vendors and calculate distance. We may save your last-used location so the app can load faster the next time you open it.
As a vendor, when you mark your business "open," the app periodically shares your current location so customers can see where you are in real time — this matters most for mobile vendors like food trucks. This only happens while the app is open and your business is marked open; RadarEats does not track vendor location in the background or after you close the app.
We share information only as needed to operate the Service:
We retain your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing radareatsapp@gmail.com from the email address on your account. We'll confirm and complete deletion requests within 30 days, except where we're required to retain certain records (for example, billing records) by law.
RadarEats is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing (for example, California residents under the CCPA). You can exercise most of these rights directly in the app (editing your profile, unfollowing vendors, turning off notifications) or by emailing us at radareatsapp@gmail.com.
We use industry-standard safeguards — including Firebase's authentication and database security rules, and Stripe's PCI-compliant payment infrastructure — to help protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
This policy is provided for transparency about our practices and is not a substitute for independent legal advice.
